La Fundación Siglo de Oro coproduce con Teatro Español Entre Marta y Lope, un texto contemporáneo escrito por Gerardo Malla y Santiago Miralles que continúa con el propósito de FUSO: la transmisión y difusión de uno de los bienes más preciados de nuestro patrimonio artístico y cultural, el teatro del Siglo de Oro. En este caso, la pasión y el conflicto constante en el que viven Marta y Lope sirve como excusa para retratar una época y llevar a escena la importancia de la figura de Lope, pilar esencial de nuestra literatura. Lope, el viejo dramaturgo ya de vuelta de tantas cosas, y Marta de Nevares, su última amante, su pecado, su pasión, su premio y su castigo; una mujer cultivada y fuerte, tanto que Lope, el enamoradizo, se aferró a ella durante años a pesar de su larga y descorazonadora enfermedad.
