Javier, un joven periodista, trabaja en un artículo sobre la depuración de maestros durante la guerra civil española. Sus investigaciones le llevan a contactar con Saturio Soriano, un anciano profesor que, poco antes de suicidarse, le relata su paso por el penal de Cuelgamuros de Madrid y cómo se vio obligado a trabajar en la construcción del Valle de los Caídos. Tras constatar que Saturio y su difunto abuelo habían llegado a conocerse en prisión, Javier descubrirá que la amistad, la verdad y la búsqueda de la identidad están por encima de cualquier guerra, ideología o política. |
