David Mamet es considerado una figura fundamental del teatro norteamericano y uno de los mejores guionistas contemporáneos. Ganador de un Premio Pulitzer en 1984 por Glengarry Glen Ross y nominado dos veces a un Oscar, es también un brillante novelista, ensayista y director de cine. El presente volumen recoge casi treinta entrevistas realizadas en diversos medios -prensa, televisión o radio, algunas inéditas hasta hoy- a lo largo de su prolífica carrera, a partir de sus inicios en Chicago en los años setenta, y recorre la totalidad de la trayectoria profesional de Mamet.
