| Summary, etc | English National Ballet's remit as a major touring company, and the need to attract large audiences through populist programmes, gives its artistic director Wayne Eagling limited room for creative manoeuvre. He has inherited a mixed bag of bankable works, amongst the Derek Deane's in the round productions of Swan Lake and Romeo & Juliet plus the Christopher Hampson/Gerald Scarfe Nutcracker.
