La ópera continúa siendo la gran manifestación escénica de la cultura occidental, un género cuyas producciones tradicionales de mediados del siglo XX han evolucionado escénicamente en las últimas décadas mediante la incorporación de directores teatrales, cinematográficos, coreógrafos, artistas plásticos… La ópera se ha adaptado a puestas en escena poco convencionales, algunas con gran protagonismo de la tecnología, o bien extremadamente hiperrealistas. Y los cantantes han evolucionado acorde con los tiempos: corren, andan descalzos, cantan suspendidos en el aire y, sobretodo, viven con intensidad emocional sus personajes. Sin embargo, la interpretación actoral de los intérpretes líricos no siempre figura en un lugar preeminente de su currículum formativo.<br/>Teoría y práctica se unen en el presente ensayo de Egea. Y lo hace con un rigor extraordinario al revisar la terminología de los conceptos básicos como ritmo, emoción o voz aplicados a la interpretación operística de hoy. |
