Teatro Abierto reunió en 1981 a algunas de las voces más destacadas del teatro argentino en todas las profesiones para trabajar juntas contra el régimen dictatorial que asolaba al país desde 1976. El movimiento se desarrolló hasta 1985 y promovió, además de la escritura y montaje escénicos, diversas acciones para recomponer la fractura a la que la dictadura había abocado al teatro y a la sociedad. La resonancia política de su edición primigenia fue tal que llegó a difuminar el valor artístico que el movimiento supuso. Por ello, cuarenta años después, es necesario volver a Teatro Abierto, profundizar en su realización, dinámicas y desarrollo y comprender, más allá del hito, el papel que jugó en la historia escénica argentina como dinamizador del campo teatral. En esta publicación se aborda un estudio completo de cada evento, de sus poéticas dramáticas y escénicas, su relación con el público y la prensa, su espacio bisagra en la historia del teatro argentino o su posicionamiento en las políticas teatrales hacia el tiempo posdictatorial. Pensar y analizar Teatro Abierto desde la distancia histórica y en el conjunto de todas las ediciones posibilita que comprendamos su fuerza como movimiento político, histórico y social y, ante todo, como movimiento teatral. |
