"Inventiva y perspicaz, 'Shake' es la versión libre que el director británico Dan Jemmet propone sobre 'Noche de Reyes', de William Shakespeare. Iliria es un reino de amor delirante. Los juegos de equívocos y el travestismo toman la escena para abordar la comedia más absurda del dramaturgo inglés, y también la más inteligente. He aquí una historia efervescente, irreverente y deliciosamente enrevesada; una invitación metafísica a la reflexión sobre la condición humana. [...] De este modo, 'Noche de Reyes' fue escrita en una época en la que los hombres interpretaban los papeles femeninos y, en ella, el travestismo se lleva a un segundo nivel cuando un chico vestido como una chica debe interpretar el papel de un hombre. Cuando la comedia llega a su fin, el subtítulo de la obra, 'What you will?', se vuelve más relevante: ¿se trata de un chico o una chica? 'Lo que quieras', concluye Shakespeare. [...]".
