El libro desarrolla una teoría de la oposición entre narración y drama, basada en la distinción aristotélica entre los dos modos de imitación, pero puesta al día para dar cuenta de los conflictos que sigue suscitando en el teatro más actual (por ejemplo, el "posdramático"), aunque también los que ya planteaba en nuestro teatro del Siglo de Oro. La teoría se aplica al teatro en español con el análisis de algunos casos ejemplares: las teatralidades del Quijote, la adaptación en Persiles y Sigismunda de Rojas Zorrilla o los "efectos de inmersión" de Buero Vallejo. También en la discusión de una serie de "géneros imposibles": el teatro de viajes, el épico, el autobiográfico y, sobre todo, la autoficción dramática, con especial atención al franco uruguayo Sergio Blanco. |
