Summary, etc Este artículo presenta la danza humana como expresión artística inherente al ser humano desde la antigüedad. Tras una breve introducción histórica se desarrolla una perspectiva filosófica que toma como punto de partida la tradición hermenéutica y que plantea nuestros cuestionamientos sobre la danza y el arte. Se continua incluyendo las últimas aportaciones por la ciencia cognitiva y sus implicaciones en la danza como "arte en movimiento". En la parte final, y teniendo en cuenta los aspectos históricos, cognitivos, filosóficos analizados se vuelve a desarrollar una perspectiva filosófica, siguiendo el enfoque de Eugenio Trías, que ofrece una visión de conjunto y nos permite argumentar los motivos que llevan a considera la danza, al igual que el juego autónomo observado por un espectador (Gadamer) como "metacomunicación".
