Martin, Carol (Nombre de persona)
New York University. Drama. Faculty Member Carol Martin is a Professor of Drama, an affiliated faculty in the Department of Performance Studies, and a Global Network Professor at New York University. She is the Director of the Honors Program in the Department of Drama. Her books include Theatre of the Real and Dance Marathons: Performing American Culture of the 1920s and 1930s. She is the Editor of Dramaturgy of the Real on the World Stage, A Sourcebook of Feminist Theatre, and the co-editor with Henry Bial of Brecht Sourcebook. She is the Guest Editor of four special issues of TDR, Reclaiming the Real” (2017), “Performing the City” (2015) and “Documentary Theatre (2006)” and “Japanese Performance” (2002). Her essays on contemporary theatre and theory are published in national and international journals including Theatre Journal, Theatre Arts (Japan), TDR, Peripeti, Dialog(Poland) and Theatre Arts China and The New York Times. Martin's essays and interviews are translated into Turkish, French, Polish, Chinese, Romanian, and Japanese.
