No es ficción Bilbao Artezblai 2016Resumen: Este libro parte de la preocupación que surge a raíz de la pérdida del prestigio intelectual del teatro acaecida en las últimas décadas. El ámbito teatral ha explosionado en cantidad de actividad, en publicaciones, en calidad técnica de las representaciones y, en ocasiones, en espectadores, pero no en presencia pública, en debate público. Y ello ha ocurrido por múltiples circunstancias; una de ellas, por sentir esta actividad cada vez más ajena de los territorios intelectuales. Por el contrario, la mejor tradición del teatro nunca se ha sentido fuera del pensamiento de cada época. Han sido muchos los pensadores que, desde la Poética de Aristóteles, se han ocupado del hecho teatral para ayudar a vislumbrar su teoría filosófica. Hegel, Diderot, Lessing, Hölderlin, Adorno…, o los españoles Ortega y Gasset y Laín Entralgo, son nombres propios que en algún momento de su biografía académica y vital se han percatado del mundo teatral. Algunos de ellos han considerado la escritura teatral como un medio para obtener mayor expresividad de su pensamiento, como es el caso de Unamuno, Sartre o Camus. Otros han pensado de manera teatral, como acontece en Pirandello, Beckett, Miller o Pinter. Sin olvidar quienes han especulado desde el pensamiento sugerido por el arte de la representación: Zola, Stanislavski, Grotowski, Barba, etc. Así pues, la necesidad de la estética en el escenario se debe a que esta es imprescindible para lograr que el acontecimiento dramático confirme su condición de arte.
