Una abogada independiente, que busca abrirse un hueco en el competitivo - y masculino - mundo del Derecho, recibe, a altas horas de la noche, a un misterioso cliente. Un hombre de negocios en el momento más dulce de su vida, disfrutando del éxito más absoluto, necesita ayuda legal. Ha estrangulado a su mujer y se llama Otelo. Otelo a juicio mezcla la historia contemporánea de un triunfador caído en desgracia por ser responsable de un caso de violencia de género, con la obra clásica de Shakespeare, en la que un guerrero de éxito, la espada de Venecia, lo pierde todo después de asesinar a su mujer. Un drama isabelino de celos y venganza, que se convierte en una tragedia de género en el siglo XXI. En un bufete de abogados madrileño, Otelo se enfrenta al juicio de la Historia. Una revisión del clásico de Shakespeare, agresiva, sexual, racial y feminista, para el siglo XX. |
