Bolero de Dona Francisquita: classical dance from the "Zarzuela" operetta of that name/ music by Vives. 4. Zapateado/ music by Sarasate. 5. Escenas Castellanas: a) Con el Alba/ music by G. Gombau. b) Canción y Danza/ music by J.Navarro. 6. Soleá por Bulerías/ music by Lopez Tejera. 7. Fantasía Goyesca (Inspired by the paintings and cartoons of the inmortal Aragonese painter Goya. This scene appropriately ends with the jotas of Valencia and Aragon. Essentialy a dance of traditional, open-air pastoral rites and patron saints' festivals, the agile Basque dance, noble in character, is mostly masculine, virile and rarely seen on the stage. Zapateado del Perchel (Another dance of pure technhical vituosity from Málaga) / music by Tejera and Soirt. 12. Huayno (Inca Dance, collected in Peru by La Argentinita and presented for the first time at the Teatro Colon, Buenos Aires, 1935) / music by Thomas Rios. 13. Bolero (Given for the first time at New York's Carnegie Hall in 1942. The Famous orchestral piece serves as the apotheosis of the Spanish Ballet/ music by Ravel. |
